equip Programme – Update

The equip Programme is well underway to facilitate the replacement of HSC’s current HR, Payroll & Travel System (HRPTS) and Finance, Procurement & Logistics (FPL) with a brand-new, modern, Cloud-based Oracle Fusion solution, coming later this year.

There will be two separate Go-Lives;

  • Release One will see the Finance and Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS) systems implemented,
  • Release Two will see the Human Resources (HR) and Payroll functions implemented.

What will equip mean for Health and Social Care (HSC)?

Staff and suppliers can expect to experience many benefits from the new system, which has given HSC the opportunity to standardise, simplify and modernise digitally.

You may be working on tasks such as submitting expenses, accessing a payslip or submitting an annual leave request. All end users who do such tasks and more will see a benefit from the new system, in terms of the increased usability and time efficiencies from this modern, intuitive system.

For those working in Finance, HR, Payroll and PaLS, equip will see the Oracle system become the key system for their everyday tasks, as one of the biggest digital transformations in HSC comes to fruition.

The new Oracle Fusion system will bring levels of change for staff across HSC, and this will be supported through training online and offline.

The level of training will be determined by the amount of interaction you will have with the new system, with short courses, online training and ‘OGL’ guidance which will be accessible in the flow of your work in Oracle system, guiding you through the most common tasks.

equip Next Steps

Readiness structures are currently being established within the HSC Organisations, and these groups will play a key role in ensuring all staff are fully supported through the change, and organisations are ready for Go-Live.

You’ll be hearing much more about equip in the months ahead, with online Townhalls and regional roadshow events ensuring you’ll get the opportunity to hear everything you need to know about the equip Programme and the new Oracle system, including those which will delve into the specific functional areas and what the changes will mean for staff.
