Get ready for equip!
HSCNI’s second largest digital programme is well underway.
The equip programme is set to replace our HRPTS and FPL systems in 2026, with a simplified, single software solution.
equipping our HSC staff to focus on what matters
This cloud-based solution will provide streamlined processes, data-driven insights, and an improved user experience, to support the delivery of Finance, HR, Payroll, PaLS, and Systems Administration activities.
Our staff will be equipped with a modern and intelligent system to support and allow them to focus on their day-to-day responsibilities, whether that be, for example, storeroom replenishment or patient care.
Aligned with HSCNI’s Digital Operations Strategy, equip will provide a platform for continuous improvement for the next ten years and beyond.
Over 86,000 staff across all 16 HSC Organisations are set to benefit from the new system.
What stage is equip at?
2025 is an important year for the equip Programme as we continue to work through the Design and Build phase, which has seen over 300 workshops hosted so far, alongside our System Provider Oracle, Systems Implementation Partner EY/TCS and our Client-Side Partner Deloitte.
Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from within the Programme and across the region are actively involved in the decisions being made, ensuring input from right across HSCNI.
Our next big milestone will be the completion of the Design & Build Phase, then entering into the Testing Phase later in 2025. Following this will come extensive training of the end-user population, before finally going live with the new system.
Join our team
Delivering a programme on the scale of equip is no mean feat! We continue to recruit to our core Programme team across a wide range of areas. In the coming months, we’ll be recruiting for several roles within the equip Training team.
