The BSO Employee Relations (ER) team promises to advise managers and employees, and manage cases in line with the HSC values of Working Together, Excellence, Openness & Honesty, and Compassion. ‘Employee relations’ describes the relationship between employers and employees. It is underpinned by the contract of employment and the organisations policies and procedures.
The employer will attempt to promote good working relations with its employees by employee engagement, partnership working, fair and equitable treatment of employees, and sound decision making. In return, the employee will carry out the duties of their role to the best of their ability, making meaningful contributions to the achievement of the goals of the organisation.
The BSO ER Team manage workloads including;
Disciplinary, Grievance, Conflict, Bullying, Harassment, Probationary, Performance Management, Mediation, Coaching, Counselling and Tribunal.
We also work in Partnership with our Trade Union colleagues, Partnership Working in the BSO The Business Services Organisation (BSO) Joint Negotiating Forum (JNF) is committed to the systematic and routine involvement of staff at all levels in shaping service delivery and being part of the decision making which affects their working lives and the delivery of health care. The BSO works closely with trade unions in the following areas:
- Negotiating and consultative forums
- Policy development
- Management of change
- Employee Relations
- Agenda for Change
The ER Team are involved in the development of BSO policy and procedures and regional working groups throughout the HSC workforce.
