The BSO Pay and Conditions (P&C) team are responsible for the provision of professional advice and guidance to managers, staff and clients on the full range of Human Resources issues
including Agenda for Change, Medical & Dental and Civil Service Terms and
Conditions of Service and relevant Policies and Procedures. The team ensure that the appropriate procedures in respect of new starts, promotees, leavers, family leave, contractual documentation etc are implemented and processed in an accurate and timely manner for the monthly payroll closedowns. P&C are also responsible for ensuring contracts and contractual information is issued to new starts and promotees in line with Key Performance Indicators and Statutory Timeframes. Our priority is to provide effective and efficient customer service in line with our Service Level Agreements and work closely with our Payroll and Regional HR Colleagues.
The Pay and Conditions team deal with queries relating to:
- Terms and Conditions of Service (AFC, Medical & Dental, Senior Executive)
- Contracts of Employment
- New starters
- Leaving the Organisation (Inc retirement applications)
- Family applications (Maternity/Paternity/Adoption, Shared Parental leave etc)
- Contractual changes
- Annual leave, statutory leave and work life balance advice
- HR policies and procedures
- Policy Development
- Extensions to existing contractual arrangements
- Employers for Childcare (closed Oct 2018 to new entrants)
- TUPE
- Working Pattern issues/queries
- Overtime / Unsocial Hours / On-call guidance
