If a patient fails to collect spectacles, despite repeated reminders, then you may still submit the claim to us.
However, you must first allow 3 months for the patient to collect the glasses. You can submit the claim anytime after the 3 months but no later that one year from the date which the glasses were ordered.
Send it to us, clearly marked as “non-collection”, along with your normal submissions.
If you submit your claims electronically using OCS, non-collections can be submitted online. But as they must follow the same time frames as above, they will fall outside the normal time period for which a payment can be claimed. Therefore, they should be submitted for consideration. As there is no date of test, when you click the submit for payment button the form will “fail business rules”. A button will then show for submitting for consideration. You should click this button and a box will appear. In this box please state that the claim is for non-collection and give the date that the glasses were ordered.
