BSO Blood Drive – Summer 2026

Business Services Organisation (BSO) hosted a Summer Blood Drive on Tuesday 28 July, with the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service (NIBTS) returning to James House for another successful day of donations.

BSO, Arms Length Bodies (ALB’s) and James House colleagues came forward to donate, with a total of 86 donors attending and 71 donations collected on the day.

To all the dedicated returners and those that came forward for the first time, thank you to everyone who signed up to donate. Your continued support is making a difference.

Several donors also celebrated their 10th and 15th donation milestones. What an achievement!

Thanks to NIBTS, the day ran like clockwork. Thank you for your continued support.

This blood drive was particularly relevant as BSO is preparing to go live in Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT) this September with the BloodTrack solution for the Tracking element of the Blood Production and Tracking (BPaT) Project

By introducing a regional blood tracking system, the BPaT project is transforming Northern Ireland’s blood transfusion service. Learn more here: https://bso.hscni.net/directorates/digital/nipims/blood-production-and-tracking-bpat/

Thank you to everyone who donated, we look forward to welcoming you to a future blood donation session.
