Sarah Mitchell has a significant role in the Business Services Organisation as she works in the BSO Chair and Chief Executives Office

Sarah and her colleagues are at the heart of BSO and provide strategic support to the Board and the Senior Exective Team within BSO.
On International Women’s Day we celebrate those who make a massive difference behind the scenes:
Tell us who you are and what you do: My name is Sarah and I am a Personal Assistant in the Chair & Chief Executive’s Office here at BSO HQ.
How long you have worked in BSO: This month (Feb), I celebrated my 4-year anniversary at BSO!
How you feel you make a difference to HSC? As a PA in the Chief Executive’s office, I make a difference by ensuring that our directors can focus on delivery and decision-making and ensuring that everything runs smoothly in a vast and complicated organisation. We have such a wide diversity of Directorates and Services and an excess of two thousand staff now. I like to acknowlegde that my colleagues and I anticipate the needs and demands of our senior leaders, we remove barriers and create structure and governance – whether that’s through organised scheduling, clear communication or well-prepared briefings.
On International Womens day’s I pride myself on the fact that I work professionally in a fast-paced environment, I bring calm, consistency and reliability. My collegues and I support my Directors to stay aligned, informed and able to respond quickly to changing priorities. Ultimately, my role contributes to better outcomes by supporting our senior leaders to spend their time where it has the greatest impact.
