JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Head of Internal Audit will be responsible for the operational management of the delivery of the internal audit service to an assigned portfolio of clients. The postholder will conclude on all draft audit opinions produced for allocated clients, take lead responsibility for high quality, value adding audit reports and draft the Head of Internal Audit Annual Report. The postholder will report to client Audit Committees on a regular basis.

The Assistant Head of Internal Audit will direct and manage staff to deliver annual audit plans on time, to budget and to the required quality standards. The post holder will personally conduct highly complex assignments and will assist the Head of the Internal Audit in the continuous improvement of the Internal Audit function.

The post holder will be directly responsible to the Head of Internal Audit.
