A disability is a condition that effects an individual’s ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities. It can be a mental health or physical condition, visible or hidden, it can last 12 months or longer, and be recurring.
Resonable Adjustments
Under section 20 of the Equality Act 2010, staff with a disability can ask their employer’s to make reasonable adjustments.

Staff can request their working pattern is changed to work around your disability.

Disability Staff Network
Open to all staff in HSC. The main aim of the Network is to raise awareness of disability and to act as a contact point for staff with a disability, providing a safe space and informal peer support and information.
