BSO ITS is responsible for the provision of a wide range of ICT services across the HSC, HSC regional Arms-Length bodies and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS). These services range from the routine support of large, complex clinical, business and social care systems to the procurement and implementation of large projects/programmes supporting the ongoing modernisation and transformation of Health Care in Northern Ireland. ITS supports over 80,000 users across nearly 300 systems and is responsible for annual ICT expenditure of around £60 million.

Job Title: BSO Band 7 Project Manager (ICT Projects) – BSO IT and equip programme

We are recruiting to create a waiting list for Permanent / Temporary / Full time / Part time Project Manager Band 7 posts based within Information Technology Services (ITS) / Equip Directorate’s BSO which may become available over the next 12 months based within Belfast City Centre Location / Gransha, Park House, Clooney Road, Derry/Londonderry / NIFRS HQ, Seymour Street, Lisburn.

Salary: Band 7 (Starting £46,148. After 2 years – £48,525. After 3 further Years £52,809 per annum pro rata)

Job Summary:

The Project Manager will take responsibility for the management and delivery of small to medium-sized ICT projects across HSCNI. They will deliver ICT projects to time and budget in line with approved standards. The Project Manager will work with key stakeholders for each project delivered. They will facilitate transformation and change in relevant service areas.

Job Summary:

The Postholder will take lead responsibility for the management and delivery of a range of complex Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Systems and Projects. The Postholder will provide a specialist IT service which focuses on the
delivery of complex ICT Projects. The post holder will work with customers to support them across a range of areas including contributing to the development of an ICT strategy, developing a plan to for the implementation of that strategy, identifying ICT solutions to support that
implementation, identifying opportunities for systems development. The post holder may also manage the delivery of the ICT elements of those solutions if required. In order to do this, the post holder will work with the customer; other teams within ITS, external Suppliers and other public sector bodies.

Job Summary:

The Postholder will take lead responsibility for the design, integration, management and delivery of highly complex and novel technical deliverables across a wide range of internal and external application areas and stakeholders. The Postholder will provide expert technical advice across the range of areas impacted by the Major Programme to include networks, regional data centres, cybersecurity services, virtualized environment, cloud architecture, identity management and access controls, managed internet access, infrastructure, integration, data migration and healthcare interoperability.
Will be required to provide expert services to a number of programmes or projects at any one time depending on programme needs.

Information Technology Services (ITS) Programme Managers at Business Services Organisation (BSO) oversee the planning and delivery of information and technology services to Health and Social Care across N. Ireland. They are responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of range of transformational technology-led projects. They ensure that the commissioned projects under their responsibility are planned, managed and delivered effectively and within the resources available. They will provide leadership to the staff in their team and ensure that high standards of productivity, technical excellence and best practice in service management are maintained.
