Dermot Boyle, NIDIS Programme Manager, and Eilish Meehan, Service Manager for Health & Care Data Quality, were delighted to speak at the European Master Data Management Conference in London last week.
The Northern Ireland Digital Identity Service (NIDIS) Programme, delivered by the Business Services Organisation, was invited to showcase how a national Master Data Management (MDM) platform can be used to manage population data at country scale.
Dermot and Eilish joined speakers from across Europe, sharing insights from their experiences and highlighting the innovation taking place within Northern Ireland. Attendees expressed strong admiration for the progress achieved to date and the ambition driving the next phase of NIDIS, reinforcing Northern Ireland’s position as a leader in this space.
In addition to presenting the NIDIS journey, both Dermot and Eilish (who recently received an MBE for her long‑standing service to patients) welcomed the opportunity to learn from other experts on how AI and AI Governance will shape the future of digital identity and data management.
They both commented on how inspiring it was to engage with likeminded professionals who share a passion for using these platforms to enhance citizen and patient experiences.
