BSO NIPACS+ (Northern Ireland Picture Archiving and Communication System) Programme held its official closure event this afternoon.
The celebration marks the conclusion of the programme and the significant achievement it represents, made possible through the collective commitment, leadership and support of all stakeholders.
Melissa Cochrane, Head of Programme Delivery, BSO ITS, commented on the significance of the occasion:
“As the NIPACS+ Programme reaches its official close this July and transitions into business-as-usual operations, it truly marks the end of an era. What began as an ambitious vision has been delivered through years of sustained effort, culminating in a regionally deployed, modern imaging platform supporting services right across Northern Ireland. From initial mobilisation and design, through complex procurements, technical integrations, and multiple phased go-lives, to full regional adoption and stabilisation, every stage of this journey has required focus, resilience, and unwavering determination.
To everyone who contributed, whether from the core programme team, clinical and operational services, or our partners, thank you. Your dedication has created something that will have a lasting impact for years to come. As we move into operations, we do so not just with a successful system in place, but with a shared sense of achievement and pride in having delivered something truly significant.”
A huge thank you to all NIPACS+ stakeholders for their hard work, determination and dedication to the programme. Your support, alongside the efforts of the Programme Team and Sectra, has been instrumental in the success of the NIPACS+ Programme.
