29 March 2024
In March this year, Business Services Organisation Accounts Payable Shared Services (APSS) celebrated 10 years in business and what they have achieved in this time.
In November 2013, APSS was established with just 3 staff members and at that point, no permanent premises from which to operate. By January 2014, an office had been acquired, 82 staff were employed and the team set about the task of paying the yearly invoice total of 1.2 million.
Moving forward 10 years and due to a combination of innovation, automation, continuous improvement and unstinting determination to deliver, supported by hard work and a can-do attitude, the team of 82 are now processing over 2.5 million invoices per annum.
The team have also lifted 30-day Prompt Payment compliance from a meagre 50% to 95%.
The celebration was to acknowledge the commitment and contributions of everyone who has enabled APSS to reach its 10th birthday whilst simultaneously acquiring an industry recognised accreditation as a Centre of Excellence. The celebration included all APSS staff and special guests from the Accounts Payable Association.
Well done everyone!
