On 14th November, his 75th birthday, King Charles hosted a reception in Buckingham Palace for international nurses and midwives working in the UK, to pay tribute to their valuable contribution and to recognise the multitude of backgrounds and cultures within health services.
But it wasn’t just nurse’s who got to meet King Charles, did you know

#BSO took the lead on the regional international nurse recruitment programme and have to date, supported over 1700 internationally trained staff to take up posts within
#HSC Trusts.
Proudly representing BSO were Linda Thompson (Regional Lead for International Recruitment) and Graham Divine (CEC Senior Education Manager).
This wonderful occasion showcased the significant contribution of the internationally-educated workforce to the Health & Social Care system (HSC) across Northern Ireland. What an honour to be recognised by His Majesty in this way.
The reception concluded with a surprise rendition of Happy Birthday for the King performed by the
#NHS choir!
