BSO ITS hosts MacMillan Coffee Morning Bake-Off

27 September 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined and participated in this year’s successful Coffee Morning at James House on 26th September to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support’s vital work.

The amount of home-made traybakes that were provided was fantastic and all contributions (bought or otherwise) were greatly enjoyed by everyone. There were 9 delicious home baked cakes entered into the bake-off competition. Who would have imagined we are in the midst of such talented bakers! Whether you were a baker or eater, it was an enjoyable gathering and a great chance to support a good cause.

Everyone got to sample the cakes and vote for a winner. Bake-Off runners up were Alex Byrom (NIDIS) and Mark Lewis (evolve).

Congratulations to Louise Wright (BSO Integration Team), who won best cake and was crowned Star Baker. Not only were her cakes creative and delicious, it was a well-deserved win given she transported two cakes on the train and got caught in the yellow warning storm on route!

A total of £626.50 was raised on the morning for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Well done everyone!
