On 4th and 5th of June 2024, the BSO Leadership Centre welcomed Civica UK and members of BSO’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to a joint session reviewing the implementation and success of LearnHSCNI – the regional Learning Management System.
This session heralded a two-day visit by Civica UK to learn how HSCNI were using the platform after one year in service. It was also an opportunity to collaborate with the BSO Leadership Centre’s Digital Team and members of the regional Functional Specialist Group to discuss suggested enhancements to the platform.
Staff from both Civica UK and the Leadership Centre delivered presentations regarding the successful implementation, adoption of, and engagement on the system.
Multiple teams from BSO were involved with the implementation, including Procurement and Logistics (PaLS), Legal Services (DLS), ITS and the BSO Leadership Centre. All were extensively praised by Civica UK for their expertise and professionalism throughout the project – which was implemented in 9 months and launched on time to support the encompass rollout in SEHSCT in November 2023.
The second day saw a number of HSC organisations share experiential feedback directly to the supplier, (Civica UK), while the Leadership Centre facilitated some enhancement workshops to help the supplier understand exact requirements to incorporate into their product roadmap.
It was widely recognised by those who attended over both days that LearnHSCNI remains critical to the provision of encompass training and that the project is delivering benefits to all HSC organisations evidenced by increased learner engagement and improved compliance through completion of statutory/mandatory courses.
An excellent achievement and fantastic example of collaborative working!
