On Wednesday 5th March 2025, the Business Services Organisation (BSO), Northern Ireland Digital Identity Service (NIDIS) Team visited Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT), Blood Science Laboratory at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH).
Christine Meenan (Senior Biomedical Scientist) guided the team through the journey the daily 14,000 blood samples, that are processed in the Kelvin Lab.
Christine demonstrated how crucial the Health and Care number is to every step of their processes and how much the team rely on NIDIS in their every day work.
The tour was an opportunity for the team to experience how the Programme is making a difference and a chance for ongoing dialogue to continue with key laboratory staff.
