BSO Payroll Shared Services held their first Charity Committee event on Wednesday 6th December with a team quiz, raffle and Christmas jumper competition.
The event was planned by the newly established PSC Charity Committee supporting Payroll’s chosen charity Friends of the Cancer Centre. Payroll staff also attended an introductory session with Friends of the Cancer Centre on Tuesday 21st November to hear about the wonderful work they do with cancer patients and their families and how BSO’s donations will help them continue their work.
Our staff very kindly donated prizes for the raffle which included chocolate hampers, Christmas hampers, gift sets, a fresh turkey, vouchers, children’s games and much more.
The event commenced with a team quiz hosted by CRM Team Leader Linnora Phillips. There were joint team winners who each received a tub of chocolates to share among the team.
The raffle was hosted by our Head of Service, Lisa Mullan, and Service Delivery Manager Leigh Stinton.
Most staff took part in the Christmas jumper competition which closed off a wonderfully festive afternoon with prizes for the best and worst Christmas jumpers as voted by our Charity Committee.
The day was a great success with PSC raising a grand total of £510 for Friends of the Cancer Centre!
The team are looking forward to the next event hosted by the Charity Committee in the New Year.
