On Friday 15th November 2024, Business Services Organisation (BSO) Directorate of Digital staff attended the Belfast Telegraph IT Awards. The Directorate was nominated in two categories, IT Project of the Year for the NIPACS+ Programme and Best Place to Work in IT (over 100 employees) for BSO ITS (Information Technology Services).
We are incredibly proud to announce that BSO were awarded Highly Commended in both categories. A fantastic achievement for both Teams who were up against very strong competition.

A highlight of the work the Teams do, to make a difference across Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland (HSCNI) is below:
Best IT Project – BSO NIPACS+ Programme – Highly Commended.
The NIPACS+ (Northern Ireland Picture Archiving and Communication System) Programme, recently went live in a third Trust with Phase 2 for Additional Imaging Specialties (AIS), outside of Radiology and Digital Pathology. The Programme’s activities continue to pave the way for a service that delivers efficiency in imaging availability, improving patient care.
Best Place to Work in IT (over 100 employees) – BSO ITS (Information Technology Services) – Highly Commended
BSO ITS provide operational services to business and clinical systems across HSCNI, leading the way with digital transformational change across HSC and providing the platforms and data centres to enable these operations and transformations.
