Today is World Blood Donor Day, and BSO would like to highlight the continuous need for safe blood and blood products.
BSO’s Blood Production and Tracking (BPaT) Project is leading the way by transforming the Northern Ireland’s blood transfusion service system and introducing a regional blood tracking system.
With the project rollout starting in September this year, Northern Ireland will, on completion, have a fully functioning regional electronic ‘vein-to-vein’ donor management, blood production, and tracking system.
