On 31 October 2025, we marked the retirement of Myles O’Hagan, who concluded an exceptional career as Divisional Head of Procurement within BSO PaLS. This milestone comes after an incredible 39 years of service to the Health Service.
Myles began his career in what is now the Western Health and Social Care Trust, and over nearly four decades, he has held 18 different roles within different procurement functions, demonstrating adaptability, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to public service.
Within PaLS, Myles previously served as Procurement Manager and Senior Procurement Manager at Gransha, where he managed a significant portfolio of Pathology and Laboratory contracts. Notably, Myles shaped and delivered the first regional laboratory contracts, a landmark achievement that transformed procurement for diagnostic and clinical services across Northern Ireland.
As Divisional Head of Procurement, Myles has been instrumental in shaping procurement policy and driving innovation within BSO PaLS. His leadership has influenced countless initiatives, strengthened supplier relationships, and delivered value for the Health and Social Care system.
