Monday the 21st October 2024 saw the successful go-live of Phase 3 of the BSO CoreLIMS Project which included delivery of the Cervical Cytology and primary HPV module.
This was then followed on the 1st November 2024 with the regional transition of the Cervical Cytology and primary HPV Service to Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT). This regional service will ensure improved patient outcomes through standardisation of processes and vastly improved turnaround times.
To highlight this key moment for the provision of digital health transformation, we interviewed Jennifer Welsh (NIPIMS SRO) and Karin Jackson (CoreLIMS SRO) in the Institute of Pathology laboratory building, Royal Victoria Hospital, BHSCT.
Please take the time to watch this video which provides an overview of the impact the new LIMS will have on the Regional Cervical Cytology Service and how this will benefit regional healthcare in Northern Ireland.
