How to register as a HSC Interpreter

18 September 2023

New Interpreter Applicants must have completed Interpreter Training (OCN Level 4 Certificate in Community Interpreting – minimum) to be eligible to apply to register with the BSO Health and Social Care Interpreting Service.

DIVERSITY NI (028 9047 3737) and FLEX LANGUAGE SERVICES (028 9072 7878) offer recognised Level 4 Training.

Please note that OCN Level 4 (minimum) does not guarantee automatic registration with the BSO Health and Social Care Interpreting Service. The BSO Health and Social Care Interpreting Service is demand-led and new Interpreters are registered on a needs-only basis.

To apply to join the BSO Health and Social Care Interpreting Service Register please complete this application form. Please return completed application forms to interpreting@hscni.net

The BSO Health and Social Care Interpreting Service is currently seeking applications for the following languages: TETUM, SOMALI, DARI, PASHTO, and UKRAINIAN.
