Business Services Organisation (BSO) have partnered with Sustrans, a charitable organisation that encourages a healthier and more active lifestyle. Walking, running, cycling and any form of movement are not only good for our bodies and mind, but are much healthier for the environment too.
Shea Stinson (pictured), who is a placement student in BSO, recently decided to make the change from travelling by car to using public transport and taking a short walk on his daily commute to the office. Shea decided to make the change after he was spending a fortune on petrol, city centre parking and wasting time sitting in commuter traffic. Shea has found that since making the switch, not only has he saved money and his journey time is quicker, but he has found time to contact and check in on friends and family while commuting.

This June, Sustrans are running the ‘Active Travel Challenge’ (beginning tomorrow) which BSO and our client organisations will be able to take part in!
It’s a great way to challenge yourself and your colleague to get active and try some new ways of getting to work as well as getting around your local area. Walking, scooting, wheeling, cycling, and running on your commute or local journey are great ways of incorporating exercise into your day; whilst public transport and lift-sharing reduce congestion and can save you money.
