On Tuesday 3rd June, Business Services Organisation (BSO) Procurement and Logisitcs Service (PaLS), BSO Information and Technology Service (ITS), Digital Health and Care Northern Ireland (DHCNI), Innovation and Market Development Unit (IMDU) and encompass colleagues welcomed over 50 IT suppliers to the Meet the Buyer event in Cragiavon.
Karen Bailey, Chief Executive BSO, opened the event providing suppliers with an overview of BSO as an organisation.
Unfortunately, Linda O’Hare, Assistant Director of Procurement was not able to make the event but provided a recording on the public procurement process and the challenges it faces. Sarah Hunter, Senior Procurement Manager, BSO PaLS, provided further insight into the topics that had been introduced in the recording.
Ben Doran, Interim Director of Digital BSO, highlighted the importance of IT across HSC and provided a brief overview of the directorate, including some of the digital transformational programmes that have recently become regionalised across health and social care in Northern Ireland.
The event was an opportunity for existing and potential IT suppliers to discuss the upcoming contracts and procurement process queries via a series of 20-minute one-to-one sessions with members of the teams.
The day was a great success, with invaluable information gathered and shared by all those who attended.
Thank you to everyone who attended and well done to all those involved in organising the event!
