Recently Team members from PaLS Gransha and PaLS ICT team took part in the Half Marathon Hike at the Giant’s Causeway to raise much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The team set off from Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge on the morning of 24th June. The route was extremely challenging, taking them along Whitepark Bay, Portbradden Harbour, Dunservick Castle, the cliffs along the Giant’s Causeway, to the half marathon finish line in Bushmills.
Luckily, the rain stayed off and the sun shone. The scenery was spectacular as the hikers took in the dramatic views of Northern Ireland’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was tough but the camaraderie amongst the team and other participants spurred them all on.
To date the team have raised £2425 (inc Gift Aid) but there is still time to donate.
