Sodium Valproate Monitoring Statistics: April 2019 to March 2025 has been published today as part of the General Pharmaceutical Services and Prescribing Statistics for Northern Ireland publication schedule. This report, produced quarterly in accordance with the Code of Practice for Statistics, contributes to the monitoring of the effectiveness of actions to ensure safe and appropriate use of prescribed Sodium Valproate in Northern Ireland. In light of recent changes to MHRA guidance, this report incorporates a number of methodological changes from previous versions, with historical trend data re-calculated on the same basis.
