Recently, colleagues from the Business Services Organisation (BSO) Strategic Planning & Customer Engagement (SP&CE) Directorate spent a half day volunteering at the Ravine Community Nature Reserve, carrying out practical conservation tasks, including painting.
The Ravine is a social enterprise, based in Knockbracken Healthcare Park South Belfast, and supports young adults facing mental health challenges by providing qualifications, training and offering work experience structured around environmental conservation.
The day was a great success with staff putting their painting skills (or lack of skills) to good use. The homemade traybakes at tea break were well received by everyone 😋😋.
Thank you to the staff at the Ravine for the opportunity to volunteer and experience the work they do to support young people.
