June 2024 marked the 20-year anniversary of the the Business Services Organisation Interpreting Service. The Interpreting Team joined BSO and SPPG Colleagues in early July 2024 to celebrate the momentous occasion. We were also delighted to welcome a number of our valued Interpreters who have provided crucial language support to HSC Services and Patients for 18 – 20 years!
The BSO Interpreting Service is commissioned by SPPG to provide region-wide face to face foreign language interpreting services to Health and Social Care NI. Provision of language support is essential to improve Patient access to HSCNI Services, and support HSC Staff and Practitioners to provide safe and responsive care. BSO manage a central approved register of 450 self-employed qualified Interpreters, covering 35 different languages.
