Business Services Organisation (BSO) Family Practitioner Services (FPS) General Ophthalmic Services Statistics for Northern Ireland 2025/26 has been published. This annual report, produced in accordance with the Code of Practice for Statistics, contains high level summary information in relation to General Ophthalmic activity within the Northern Ireland FPS.
Headline results for the service area, supported by relevant charts, infographics, commentary, and user guidance are included in the main body of the HTML interactive report. This year the report has been developed in this format, using an innovative methodology termed a Reproducible Analytical Pipeline (RAP). This should greatly increase the efficiency of production in future, improve reproducibility of the figures and enhance user experience due to the interactive nature of the content. The RAP approach to statistical production is recommended by the UK Statistics Authority. The detailed tables which underpin the report, and which provide further trend, demographic and regional breakdowns at Local Government District (LGD) and Local Commissioning Group (Health Trust) level, are included as downloadable Annex Tables.
In addition, Family Practitioner Services (FPS) General Ophthalmic Services Statistics for Northern Ireland, Quarterly Series to the end of Q4 2024/25 has been published today. This publication includes a HTML format Key Facts with interactive graphics and the ability to automatically download the data presented in the charts.
