The Western Trust Ophthalmology team thanked the NIPACS+ Programme for their integral role in supporting the roll out of the NIPACS+ solution within Western Trust.
We caught up with Consultant Ophthalmologist and Western Trust Clinical Lead for Ophthalmology, Jim Church at Altnagelvin Area Hospital during go-live week. Watch this short video where Jim explains how reliant Ophthalmology is on imaging to effectively treat patients and reduce preventable blindness.
He is excited about the efficiency that NIPACS+ introduces, now that Ophthalmology images across the region can be accessed and viewed in the one system.
Jim thanked all the teams and individuals involved in making the transition a tremendous success and for their hard work during this period.

The NIPACS+ Programme completed the transition of their enterprise imaging solution across HSCNI with the final go-lives in Western and Southern Trusts last week.
Ophthalmology is just one of the many disciplines that are now fully live across all five Trusts in Northern Ireland.
